Check-in time

Your stay at The Ald begins from 3:00 PM. Prefer to start your experience earlier? Subject to availability, early check-in from 1:00 PM is possible for €25.

Check-out time

Even the most beautiful moments must eventually come to an end. Your room is reserved for you until 11:00 AM. Would you like a little more time? Subject to availability, a late check-out until 1:00 PM is possible for €25.

Entrance
Our doors are open to you 24 hours a day. After 11:00 PM, please ring the doorbell. The night porter will gladly welcome you upon showing your room key.

Smoking
The Ald Hotel is a 100% non-smoking environment. Should smoking occur in your room or in public areas, a €150 cleaning fee will apply.

Pets
Pets are not permitted, with the exception of certified assistance dogs.

Credit Cards

We accept American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Maestro credit- and debitcards.

Temperature
The temperature in your room can be adjusted with the climate control unit.

Bedding
Should you desire additional bedding or pillows, please do not hesitate to contact reception. We are at your service.

Do Not Disturb
Wishing for complete privacy? Simply place our ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign, outside your door. We will honour your wish and your room will not be serviced. For your safety, a visual check of each room will take place once within every 24 hours. Please note that 'Do Not Disturb' signs will only be honoured until check-out time on the day of departure.

Save the environment
Will you stay with us for several nights? Help us plant trees by skipping the in-between cleaning of your room. Just hang the tree-shaped doorhanger outside of your room before midnight. We will skip cleaning the next day and plant ONE TREE on your behalf. If you want, you can even plant multiple trees during the same stay. But not on the day of departure of course.

Mini safe
A mini safe is located in your room to deposit your valuables.The safe is easy to use and extremely secure. Close the door, key in a 4-digit code, press lock and you're ready to go. To open it, just enter your code again.

Electricity
The hotel electrical supply is 220V/240V. To activate the electricity in your room, insert your room key into the wall mounted holder located at the entrance of your bedroom. If you require an adaptor, please contact reception.

Housekeeping
If you have any housekeeping needs or preferences, please share them with us.

Room key
Should you encounter problems with your room key or lose it during your stay, please contact reception immediately. For security reasons, you must show some form of identification to the reception staff before reissuing a new key. You can also choose to hand in your room key at the reception (possible 24/7). When checking out, we kindly ask you to return the key at reception.

Something broken?
In case something in your room breaks down, please bring this to our attention so our hotel engineer can fix it.

Forgot something?
If you forgot to bring something like a toothbrush, toothpaste, an adaptor or feminine products, we will be happy to give you a replacement with our compliments.

Hotel supplies
All of our hotel supplies are from Wellmark. Wellmark produces high-quality products which are vegan and sustainable, with a luxurious look and social contribution. At The Ald we are committed to a better world, for this reason glass bottles were deliberately chosen. The glass not only provides a luxurious look, but also has a sustainable aspect since they can be refilled or reused.

Ironing
Ironing facilities are available at the reception desk.

Laundry
Drop off your dry cleaning or laundry at reception before 9 AM from Monday to Friday, and you will have the items returned to you on the same day (for an additional charge), otherwise the next day. Laundry bags and prices are available at reception.

Lost & found
In case of any lost or found items, please contact the reception.

Luggage room
If you would like to store your luggage with us for the rest of the day, before you take a train or other type of transportation to your next destination, leave your belongings in our secure luggage room free of charge.

Wake up call
Need to wake up early? We will be happy to give you a wake-up call or a knock on your door if you provide us with the preferred wake-up time.

Parking
You can park your car in Q-Park Muzenplein for only €25 per night. 

Public transport
The hotel is located within a 7-minute walk from The Hague central station, the main public transport hub. Here, you can take the train, bus or tram.

Taxi
If you need a taxi, we can assist you at reception. We recommend booking a taxi in advance to avoid any waiting time.

Floor plan

Each guest room contains a floor plan indicating the room location for safe evacuation in the unlikely event of a fire or an emergency. Please take a moment to read the safety and emergency instructions which can be found on the back of your room door. If you have any questions regarding emergency procedures, we will be happy to answer them. The staff of the hotel has been trained to assist guests in emergency situations.

Power failure

In the event of power failure, emergency lighting will come on throughout the building. Candles are not permitted in the bedrooms in the interest of safety.
